Make sure to get your thinking caps on, because this year we aim to recognise more role models and community champions than ever before.
28,000 people nominated last year alone, representing the positive aspects of every section of society to recognise role models and community organisations for their dedication to fighting injustice and discrimination on a grass roots level. 663 shortlisted nominees and 94 award winners have had their various achievements showcased though platforms including ITV and the Huffington Post, leading to increased funding, fundamental collaborations and wider recognition for these vital services.

The National Diversity Awards are delighted to present you with our latest winner’s interview. Spotlighting the incredible work of this year’s NDA champions, our series of winner’s interviews continues with the exceptional winner of the Positive Role Model for Race, Faith or Religion, Darryl Laycock.
Today, Darryl is a highly respected rehabilitated ex-offender who is passionate about educating children on the perils of crime. He has educated over 160,000 children and young people. 80% of his work is done free of charge and he travels across the UK to empower youngsters to follow their dream.
