Dear Jean-Francois
As Results Day arrives, we’re excited to share our ‘End of Year School Report’ for the 2023-2024 school year. The report illustrates the fantastic results our invaluable volunteers and facilitators have had in tackling bullying in classrooms across the UK. Our volunteer’s hard work and impactful results reinforce the vital role they play in creating more inclusive and accepting school environments.
Diversity Role Models has recently introduced a brand-new position of ‘Head of Volunteering’ and we are delighted to welcome Ray Lau to the team.
In other exciting news, Olivia Watts has returned to Diversity Role Models to take up the position of Strategic Projects Lead. Darius Gervinskas has also been promoted to Education Manager, Greater London & South East. You can find out more about our current team members here.
As September approaches, we will also soon be welcoming our new Chief Operating Officer, and Education Officer for London and the South East. Look out for our future newsletters for more information.
We're excited to announce the appointment of six exceptional individuals to our Board of Trustees. Each brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and diversity to Diversity Role Models. We welcome them in driving our mission to promote understanding and acceptance of individual differences and end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools.
We are saddened to announce that long-time friend and volunteer of Diversity Role Models, Barry Snelgrove, recently lost his battle with cancer. He was a huge supporter of our work and dedicated many hours as a volunteer.
Following his passing, the Barry Snelgrove Memorial Award has been set up in his honour. Whoever volunteers the most in the year will win the award. A great legacy for a great man who gave so much to Diversity Role Models.
