Hi, I’m Maxwell (She/He/They), and I work for an LGBTQIA+ youth charity, The Kite Trust. Most of our activities are based in the East of England, but we are currently working on a national project called Turning The Tide for LGBTQ+ Youth. There’s more info on the project here https://thekitetrust.org.uk/current-kite-trust-projects/turning-the-tide-for-uk-youth/. I’m leading the research strand of the project, and after conducting a literature review and discussing results with our national youth panel, Rainbow Waves, we are looking to answer the primary research question: ‘Has the puberty blocker ban impacted LGBTQIA+ young people (aged 16-25)? If so, how?’
We are looking to speak with LGBTQIA+ people aged 16-25 who live in the United Kingdom via a survey, virtual 1-1 interviews, and for two online group workshops at the end of January. Please find an invitation to interview and a participant information sheet attached. Additionally, find a QR code to the survey attached and a link to the survey, here. I greatly appreciate any help in sharing the word, we value a diversity of responses being represented!
If you know anyone who would like to contribute but has been unable due to accessibility requests, please let us know. Additionally, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything.
Best,
Maxwell Nitto
Policy and Evaluation Officer
