Dan de la Motte, one of our members, organises walking tours of Soho starting at the cottage (not an euphemism) in the middle of Soho Square and ends in Endell Street not far from a well known Club where we shall end with a well earned cocktail or glass of wine, this has been made possible by another member. Here's some more information:
We cannot empower our queer present without understanding our queer past. On this 1 hour walking tour of Soho, come and discover some of the now-lost queer nighttime spaces, the incredible queer pioneers that ran these spaces, and the clientele that filled them. Learn about the oppressive police actions, such as undercover surveillance and raids, as well as the inspirational stories of the fight for queer liberation.
The cost is £25pp to include the tour & the drink. You must be a member of GPN to attend (it is only £20 a year and gives you many advantages). Please note that this tour is limited in numbers and is FREE to our members who have either paid £200 a year or £20 pcm, please let me know if you can attend by emailing me at jf@gpn.one.
