Following our first workshop held in June, we are delighted to invite you to a second paid dedicated Your Thoughts Workshop! Your Consortium London Engagement team needs your input to move to develop an engagement programme targeting your priorities for London over the next few years.

The workshop is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and your ideas for what you would like to see us at Consortium deliver. By identifying your areas of priority in a forum setting, we can agree on ways to address these them together. The aim is to co-create an action-based engagement programme in the aftermath of the workshop.

Camden Giving, Consortium and Islington Giving invite you to an evening with speakers from local funding organisations. Come along and listen to Daniel Jourdan (Head of Grant Programmes at Camden Giving) and Anne Shewring (Programme Director at Islington Giving) about funding opportunities for LGBT+ groups, organisations and projects in the boroughs of Camden and Islington. This year LGBT+ Consortium's London team is facilitating a series of roundtables to bring together organisations across different sectors and communities to explore collaborations, increase visibility and generate action plans and insight that we can use to influence decision-makers. The roundtables will be led by its participants (you!) who will decide together what topics to explore. Consortium will renumerate each participating organisation. Please note that this roundtable is for organisations who are led by and for LGBT+ disabled people only. We will explore opportunities for future roundtables with practitioners and organisations that are thinking of developing their service provision for LGBT+ disabled Londoners. The National LGBT Partnership team are currently running a survey that focuses on joint working between LGBTQ+ organisations and health care systems.
This survey forms part of a year-long project with the aims of increasing health systems' understanding of how to engage in a meaningful and ethical way with LGBT+ organisations as well as resourcing LGBT+ organisations to understand, access and influence local/regional health system work.

|  | | Spectra Charity: Simon Dennis Award
Spectra Charity will initiate our first Grants round in 2023 – The Simon Dennis Award, in memory of our previous Trustee. These grants aim to support small, grassroots organisations that are supporting individuals experiencing discrimination or stigma and lack of opportunity on the grounds of their gender, sexuality, trans status, and health inequalities. To find out more please view the Eligibility Criteria below, and if you wish to apply, please download the application form. - Grants will be considered and awarded up to twice per year.
- Separate to this award, individuals may apply for a hardship grant at any time of the year if they are a current service user at Spectra. You will need to do this via a staff member at Spectra.
- Grants are limited to local, London-based organisations and groups, with a turnover less than £100,000.
- Although organisations should be registered charities or constituted not-for-profit groups, applications for assistance will be considered from not-for-profit unincorporated support/ membership groups. If you are a not-for-profit, unincorporated or membership group, you will need a charitable or not for profit organisation to sponsor your application.
- There will be a maximum of two grant rounds per year, in Spring and Autumn. Where a grant round is initiated, deadlines for submissions will be April and October.

|  | | Mosaic Trust Queer Summer Garden Party for Under 18s
The Queer Summer Garden Party will be held in Central London, in Covent Garden/Soho area and will involve heart beating music, refreshing drinks, tasty nibbles, outdoor games, picnic areas and so much more! This event will give you the chance to celebrate LGBT+ identities and allow young LGBT+ people to meet other people just like them. Please share with organisations that support LGBT+ youth under 18.

|  | | No Barriers Here Workshops
Royal Trinity Hospice are hosting ‘No Barriers Here’, an arts-based approach to Advance Care Planning. LGBTQ+ people are less likely to access healthcare for many reasons, including fear of discrimination. This can lead to members of the community missing out on the opportunity to discuss their future wishes, including how they would want to be cared for if they had a serious illness (Advance Care Planning). No Barriers Here is separated into 3 workshops where attendees are given the opportunity to explore various topics such as; who are the most important people to you, how would you liked to be cared for if you were to become unwell, have you ever thought about what you would like your funeral to look like, what do you want your lasting legacy to be? It is an amazing opportunity not just to practically create personal plans, but to share stories, hopes and concerns with a group of peers on a topic which we do not usually get the chance to discuss openly, but one which is so important. |  | | Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund The Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund is now open for applications. The fund supports local, community organisations in the boroughs neighbouring the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) in Wimbledon.

Grant size: £10,000.
Applications close on 9th September.

|  | | Grants to increase walking and cycling Walking and Cycling Grants London (WCGL) and Community Ideas Grants, funded by Transport for London and The London Marathon Foundation, aim to enable all Londoners to enjoy the freedom and health benefits of walking and cycling.
Walking and Cycling Grants offer up to £8,000 over two years are available to community groups, charities and social enterprises to deliver walking and cycling projects that help get their local communities active, improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
Community Ideas Grants offer up to £5,000 for one year for projects that encourage walking and cycling. Grants are available to community groups, charities and social enterprises to deliver walking and cycling projects that help get their local communities active, improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation (conditions apply).

|  | | Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund Grants of up to £20,000 are available for individuals, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, and schools to deliver projects that improve the lives and careers of people in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest. The funding is made available through the community grant strand of the Year 5 Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, which aims to support local, diverse-led organisations and individuals in creating new jobs, learning, skills, training, and educational programmes through the arts, culture, innovation, public realm, and creative placemaking. To be eligible, all projects must address at least one of four key themes: - employment opportunities
- learning opportunities
- youth support
- business and entrepreneurship support
Individuals are eligible to apply for a maximum of £5,000. The Fund closes to expressions of interest at 12pm 20th September 2024. | | |

|  | | Creating Inclusive Art Spaces for Older LGBTQ+ People
Join us for a free online workshop in partnership with Pride UK Training and Consultancy, exploring how to create inclusive art spaces for Older LGBTQ+ people. We know from evidence that engagement in the arts not only brings people out of their everyday lives and provides opportunity for connection with new ideas and experiences in interesting ways, but it can also develop awareness of new ways of creative thinking that can improve general health and wellbeing and lead to enriched lives in older age.
This 90-minute webinar presentation, with opportunities for individual contributions and group work, helps Flourishing Lives partners understand the very different lives experienced by many older LGBTQ+ people, gives examples of research, training, and accreditation available to strengthen development of inclusive LGBTQ+ art space’s, and shares information and resources to help reach out to the LGBTQ+ community more confidently and build relationships with LGBTQ+ arts organisations in order to influence change for the better.
