Over the last 30 years, we’ve made brilliant progress for LGBT rights and acceptance. We've had victories in employment rights, parenting rights, partnership rights and an equal age of consent. But there is still so much more to do to make sure every lesbian, gay, bi and trans person is accepted without exception. The future of LGBT-inclusive education and trans equality is not guaranteed; our hard-won rights cannot be undermined. The election on Thursday 12 December is an opportunity to speak up for the kind of world we want to be part of. Will you play your part? Support our manifesto for LGBT equality now. Multi-award winning classical dance soloist, Bollywood choreographer-actor and musicologist Dr. Menaka PP Bora makes her debut at Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room by performing freshly choreographed pieces from classical and experimental South Asian dance and music including the rare 16th century Indian classical Sattriya dance of Assam along with renowned guest musicians and musicologists Prof. John Baily and Veronica Doubleday. Celebrated for her youthful take on classical dance and music, Menaka is the winner of the coveted Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships in Music in Britain and Sangeet Natak Akademi Yuva Puraskar (India's most prestigious national award in classical dance).
