From Terrence Higgins Trust, Chief Executive, Richard Angell

 Dear GPN members and supporters,

Thank you for inviting me to join your regular meeting. For those who were able to make it, thank you for listening to me and asking so many kind questions. For those who were unable to make it, I hope I meet you at an event soon. It is great that support for people living with HIV is such a high priority for you.

As I said, we are at a unique time in the epidemic. We have all the tools necessary to end new HIV cases. It is a government goal to do it by 2030. If we deploy all of these tools, we can be the first country in the world to end the HIV epidemic and be the first virus we have stopped in its tracks without a vaccine or a cure. It falls to all of us to make it happen – we cannot fail.

Even if we do end the epidemic, people will live with HIV for much longer. As the first HIV charity, we are determined to be here until the last person living with HIV needs us. Can you help us achieve that aim?

If you don’t already support us or would like to get more involved, here are three suggestions of ways you could make a difference:

Finally, if your company or a business you know is keen to collaborate, please get in touch with our partnership team: corporate@tht.org.uk.

Thank you again for being so generous with your time. I had a really enjoyable evening and appreciated the kindness from everyone involved.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch on 07066161444, richard.angell@tht.org.uk or Linkedin.

Best wishes,

P.S. If none of the aforementioned ways to support Terrence Higgins Trust appeal, maybe you could get up a weekly ticket with the Rainbow Lottery – we receive 50p from every £1 you spend and every week you could win £25k.
