SOLO premiere Bloomsbury Curzon Friday 19th September

Hello

We are working with Peccadillo Pictures on the release of their film SOLO this week, including a Director’s Q&A at 5 venues! We would love for you to spread the word about this beautiful, vibrant and provocative film, which puts drag in the spotlight.

Attached are SOLO social cards with the venue names and dates for each of the SOLO + Q&A screenings, for you to share on your channels, and a link to a 30 second clip.

Following on from last week’s email, a special screening of SOLO + Q&A with Canadian Director Sophie Dupuis will take place on Friday 19 September at Bloomsbury Curzon and Saturday 20 September at The RIO Dalston.

We would love to work with you on spreading the word about this extravagant and simply sensational film, which puts drag culture in the spotlight.

Would you be interested in supporting this film via your channels?  We have stills and clips that we can share for your socials, and we have a limited number of complimentary tickets to the Screening + Q&A on 19 and 20 September.

The film has received fantastic advance press reviews and included below are just a few of the press quotes to date:

  • Variety – “One Of The Year’s Best Films”
  • Stars Screen Mayhem - 5* - "beautiful and provocative” / "a masterful showcase"
  • Attitude - 4* - “a fresh, youthful queer sensibility” / “Vibrant and Iridescent”
  • Radio Times – 4* - “With lush visuals and crisp, perceptive dialogue, Dupuis dodges “drag drama” clichΓ© to beautifully capture Simon’s obsession with people who don’t, or can’t, love him. Unsettling but electrifying” / “a powerful, heart-wrenching depiction of strength, self-love and self-acceptance.”
  • AnOther Mag - “Dupuis does an intelligent job conveying nuances of the drag scene – its pride and its occasional vulnerability to loose talk – and serves up some delectable numbers on stage”
  • Slash Film - “a vibrant portrait of queer nightlife” / “enthralling to watch”

I look forward to hearing from you.
