Over the last 30 years, we’ve made brilliant progress for LGBT rights and acceptance. We've had victories in employment rights, parenting rights, partnership rights and an equal age of consent. But there is still so much more to do to make sure every lesbian, gay, bi and trans person is accepted without exception. The future of LGBT-inclusive education and trans equality is not guaranteed; our hard-won rights cannot be undermined. The election on Thursday 12 December is an opportunity to speak up for the kind of world we want to be part of. Will you play your part? Support our manifesto for LGBT equality now. Sir Stephen is a retired British diplomat who served as Britain's ambassador to Portugal and Permanent Representative to the European Union .
