Peter did amazingly to get us through a Century in just over 45 minutes and his 'Tour de Force' took us through a century with a certain aplomb for name dropping: Oscar Wilde Lord Alfred Douglas, Robert Ross, Siegfried Sassoon, Noel Coward, Ivor Novello, Edward Carpenter, Ian Forster, some fictional character too - Lady Bracknell for example - and some animals called Mrs Tish and Sefton. The links between them were mesmerising.
Gay Rights and Liberation, soldiers, separate beds, farce, AIDS, Isle of Man were also mentioned but you have to read the texts to find out more.
It was moving , comic, there was martyrdom talked about but most of all it was fabulous and in the words of Queen Victoria " We were amused".
