Our volunteer’s hard work and impactful results reinforce the vital role they play in creating more inclusive and accepting school environments. Read More Results Here New Starters, Movers, and Shakers Diversity Role Models has recently introduced a brand-new position of ‘Head of Volunteering’ and we are delighted to welcome Ray Lau to the team. In other exciting news, Olivia Watts has returned to Diversity Role Models to take up the position of Strategic Projects Lead. Darius Gervinskas has also been promoted to Education Manager, Greater London & South East. You can find out more about our current team members here. Each brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and diversity to Diversity Role Models. We welcome them in driving our mission to promote understanding and acceptance of individual differences and end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools. Read About Our New Trustees Here Barry Snelgrove Memorial Award We are saddened to announce that long-time friend and volunteer of Diversity Role Models, Barry Snelgrove, recently lost his battle with cancer. He was a huge supporter of our work and dedicated many hours as a volunteer. Following his passing, the Barry Snelgrove Memorial Award has been set up in his honour. Whoever volunteers the most in the year will win the award. A great legacy for a great man who gave so much to Diversity Role Models. Read Barry’s Obituary Here Pride In Leadership Survey Pride in Leadership is running a unique survey examining the barriers to career development experienced by LGBTQ+ people. Please complete and share this survey with all the LGBTQ+ people in your network. By participating, you are contributing to a vital resource that can drive change and pave the way for future generations of LGBTQ+ professionals. Steve Whiting gave us a very good speech about Behind London’s Queer Scene and how it is changing, continuously. 

I hope that you enjoyed the talk and the meeting, please give me your, 30 seconds, anonymous feedback here.

In a recent survey attendees told us that they benefited from an increased turnover between £4,000 and £24,000. 

Next month, we are taking a hiatus as this is the bank holiday weekend. But you are welcome to join us on the 8th August with The Network (not just the LGBTQ+ community) you can book for this here.

This week end is the Waltham Forest Gay Pride so if you are around Walthamstow Town Hall from 3 to 8 pm, I will be there with our stand promoting LGBTQ+ Gay Walthamstow and Gay Professional Network and afterparty at the Chequers till 2 am. get free tickets here
