Thank you for your support this year and Season's Greetings.

Dear Friends and supporters,

Thank you for contributing to the success of JFDE.

The Gay Professional Network met regularly this year, it included a joint reception at the London School of Economics and at various private clubs or venues.

The Network seem to have been swallowed by the Salon d'Or but  as yet managed to meet a few times.

I have been rather busy filming this year, check out what I can tell you so far on http://www.imdb.com/list/ls038032236/ some  of it you will see next year but in the cinemas now are quite a few films.

Because of this, I have not painted much but please do look at my latest work on http://jeanfrancoisdor.pictures
As a catering consultant, I found myself with people picking my brain a lot  so I asked them to pick a time and method of payment.... well good advice saves you thousands if not millions and free advice will not lead you to much.

As an event organiser, I organised or recommended various venues for conferences and after conference, a wrap up party or two and traveled a bit around. Why don't you see this on my instagram or twitter, I simply don't as I respect the privacy of my clients and businesses.

Our PR company, Mayfair PR closed its door this year, it was a partnership and partnerships are difficult. I noticed that the website has been very quickly snapped by someone but off course, I still can help you. Check http://www.jfdor.co.uk/jfd-enterprises-jfde/public-relations.php

As Hon. Secretary of the Whitefriars Club, in 2017 we were able to pay tribute to Mary Baum in January, the speakers list that followed, thanks to our Chairman Sir Neil Thorne, OBE, TD was indeed most impressive!
Rt Hon Lord Astor of Hever DL, Lord Paddy Ashdown, Sir John Timpson, I even spoke at the AGM!, Rt Hon Sir Malcolm Rifkind KCMG QC, Rt Hon Sir Antony Brian Baldry PC DL and we concluded the year with our Christmas Party, when we were true to our motto: Learning, Friendship & Charity. We raised over £1600 for Children in Distress!

Next year, please put in your diaries the fourth Wednesday of the month from January to May and from September to November. If you are not a member and would like to hear more about it, please let me know.
The Whitefriars Club kicks start its 150th Anniversary year with Jerry Hayes, known to some as a highly respected Barrister, to others a well known MP for some years who also appeared on various TV shows, political and entertaining.

In February it celebrate in great style its Anniversary Dinner in the most magnificent rooms of the Palace of Westminster, there is still space RSVP and more details on https://www.eventbrite.com/e/whitefriars-club-150th-anniversary-at-the-palace-of-westminster-tickets-35239904503.

In March we waiting to hear from two very prominent politicians and in April, Lord Lisvane KCB DL. More about our speakers next year.

Finally in 2007 saw my 30th anniversary of living in London and Richard and I's 19th anniversary but we knew each other's for two years before that.
Season's GreetingsIt remains to me to wish you and your family a wonderful end of year's festivities: Merry Christmas, Happy Bodhi Day, Happy Return of the Wandering Goddess, Happy Hanukkah, Id al-Fitr, Winter Solstice, Saturnalia and Yule and most all and to everyone I wish a very Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year 2018.

Yours ever,

Jean-François.
PS: just in case you wonder what is the return of the Wandering Goddess or other festivities, please look at http://www.religioustolerance.org/xmas_conflict1.htm

Thank you for coming yesterday!

Dear Member,

Thank you for coming yesterday, it was really good to see or meet you, yesterday was a lovely informal format and thanks to Stuart, the wine flowed a little bit more freely too. If you did not purchase his book yesterday, that is a pity as it was at a knock off price, you can purchase it on Waterstone's Website https://www.waterstones.com/author/stuart-hopps/3617836.

I hope that you enjoyed attending and that you met some nice people.

If you have not yet done so, please consider joining us at www.gpn.one and please spread the word about the Gay Professional Network. Sharing it with friends, colleagues and the wider world helps us to grow and expand.

The Gay Professional Network is open to all and is a really good way to meet people for business or social reason and I will incite you to keep in touch and nurture the contacts you make as you never know when they might come useful. Someone asked me to put them together but please get in touch and I shall immediately.

As always, I'd like to hear your thoughts and feedback about the event and your online experience too through our Facebook Group and our LinkedIn Group.

Next year, I am asking for members to help me as a one man band, GPN could easily disappear if I fell ill or worst, disaster scenario I know but we have to look up for the future. There is blog to update, website to check and update, database to be updated constantly, pay for them too but this is usually paid up by the membership fees, whenever they are received.

Strangely yesterday was the first time that a cheaper alternative of £5 entry but no drinks or badges. No one took advantage of this option! I am between two mind in making it just so for next year, please let me know your thoughts about it.

GPN is a non for profit membership organisation operating since 2010. The excess from the membership fees after drinks and room hire, when applicable, pays for the website, promotion, organising, stationary, transport & banners. I can tell you that it never breaks even and I have sponsored this from the start, perhaps I am too generous with the wine and perhaps it should be cash bar for all.

Donations of any kind are most welcomed!
We are normally going aroundvenues, supporting whenever possible LGBT owned or operated venues, some may be more exclusive that impose a dress code but is always relaxed, please feel free to suggest venues, perhaps you can host an event in your offices or venue? in exchange you get considerable exposure.
The Gay Professional Network is your platform to promote your cause, your business, venue and yourself. It  helps your further your business or career and makes meaningful business and social contacts. You get connected, proactive and productive.
It is also a get together of like minded people who enjoy meeting other people. All very nice people in a relaxed atmosphere.
I very much look forward to seeing you again soon in 2018 and I wish you and your family the very best for Christmas and the New Year.
Yours ever,

J-F.
