Dear Jean-François,

I am an opera singer and composer and on Friday I am releasing my new album, Unveiled. This is an album of classical song by mostly gay composers and/or poets.

I am giving a launch recital at London’s Wigmore Hall on the 29th at 1pm and I’m wanting to get some more tickets sold/seats filled.

Email Elgan directly on elganthomastenor@gmail.com to gain free tickets, there are ten to be won, first come first served.

I’m wanting to engage with an LGBT audience who may not be lovers of classical music, to try and engage a new audio e if you will.

Here is a Pink News article on the project:

I will also be appearing on Radio 4’s Front Row next week. If you’d like to come to
The event then let me know and I’ll arrange tickets. If you can think of a way to reach out to some LGBTQ folk in London then I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Best wishes,

Elgan Llŷr Thomas

Spotlight on our members, Piero Apicella and Tim Dee

 Both have recently joined recently

Piero Apicella is particularly anxious to recruit new staff, please see https://www.bleachers.co.uk/jobs.html

He is looking for an e-commerce manager, manufacturing,  retail staff and more. If you know of someone who is interested, please pass it on.

"Bleachers and CO takes its inspiration from iconic British fashion trends of the 60s, 70s and 80s, including a re-interpretation of the working class skinhead look from the 60s and 80s (before it was hijacked by the Far Right) and the punk look of the 70s.

Founded in 2005 by three friends, it is now an integral part of the UK and European fetish scene, supplying some of the top fetish shops, we have been supporting events since the start. Our support of international events like Darklands, Folsom Europe, London Fetish Week, BLF Easter and Skinhead parties and many more have made it possible for the brand to become an established player on the scene and further expansion on the USA and Australian markets have been another area of growth with various collaborations.

We are now looking to expand and replace the team after the Brexit and Covid contractions, to help with our new and exciting plans. Full details on our website.”

Tim Dee has just launched his sustainability consulting and accounting practice (Ancoram) and wants to raise the profile of his 100%-gay-owned business.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/tim-dee/

Does your business serve listed groups in the UK, EU or US? Or do you form part of a listed business' supply chain?

If so, over the next three years you can expect a tsunami of sustainability reporting demands from your customers. Businesses that do not prepare risk losing critical customers: we are already observing a marked shift in listed groups' procurement criteria across the FTSE and AIM markets. Ancoram is a boutique consultancy and accounting practice, recently launched by Tim Dee, helping SMEs report their environmental, social and governance (ESG) impact.

We work with you to identify ESG data sources, process, verify and report data across multiple sustainability frameworks in an auditable format. We're regulated by ACCA and are on our way to becoming a B Corp.

Highlight of our members: Tom Gattos, Co-Founder of the Rainbow Lottery.

TOM GATTOS, CO-FOUNDER OF THE RAINBOW LOTTERY.

Tom Gattos spent most of his life as an advertising copywriter, living, working and winning awards on four continents. But it was during lockdown in London, when he and his partner, David Murray, discovered almost every group in the UK had a lottery except the LGBTQ+ community!

As they had a pension pot saved for their retirement, they decided it was far better use of the money to remedy the situation and set up a lottery for the community's benefit, So The Rainbow Lottery was born.

Since its inception, their lottery has been shortlisted for some of the community's top awards, including 'The British LGBT Awards' and 'The Rainbow Honours Awards'.

At this writing, there are 142 LGBTQ+ good causes across the country benefiting from the lottery, which has a £25,000 weekly jackpot to galvanise supporters.

The causes include The LGBT Foundation, George House Trust, Mermaids, Peter Tatchell Foundation, Diversity Role Models, sports groups, Trans groups, youth groups, Helplines and Pride groups across the country. And of course, The Gay Professional Network!

Tom says he and David are thrilled to be able to help the community, and adds, "This is by far the best thing we've ever done."

You can support GPN through the Rainbow Lottery, simply by buying your £1 tickets through their page: https://www.rainbowlottery.co.uk/support/gay-professional-network
Gay Professional Network is offering you the chance to win £25,000 and help raise much needed funds.
